York’s School of Kinesiology & Health Science ranked among the top 10 programs in Ontario by the 2023 Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Sport Science Schools and Departments. With 200+ programs to choose from, our strength has always been truly exceptional programs. York U is home to Canada’s largest liberal arts program, the only Space Engineering program in the country, a new Global Health program and a unique cross-discipline Digital Media program.  Our Centre for Research in Earth and Space Science has led the way in the development and operation of scientific instruments for three major NASA space missions over the past 30 years, and has also played a supporting role on seven other space missions to date.     • International students must demonstrate proficiency in English by providing scores from one of the following tests:
      • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Minimum score of 86 on the Internet-based test (iBT) with at least 20 in each section.
      • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Minimum overall band score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each section.
      • CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): Minimum overall score of 60, with at least 60 in each section.
      • PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English): Minimum score of 60.
  2. Other Acceptable Credentials:

    • Completion of a secondary school program in English in an English-speaking country may also be accepted.
