One of the most advanced Spanish universities, the University of Alicante is strategically located near Alicante city, capital of a top tourist destination in Spain and Europe. Its beautiful and modern campus was originally founded in 1979 but its origins can be traced back to the University of Orihuela in 1546.Every year about 30,000 students choose to study at our university, and over 4,000 students from all parts of the world get involved in an academically international environment together with their local alumni. A MODERN CAMPUS
One of the most surprising features of the University of Alicante is the design of its campus with over a million square meters. This innovative and sustainable space is mostly a walking area with over 70% of the campus surface devoted to gardens and a huge variety of botanical species. Designed and developed according to modern urban concepts, the UA campus is an ample, quiet and green area. Contemporary architecture and easily accessible buildings are the key elements. The University of Alicante offers more than 50 official degrees in Humanities and Languages, Experimental Sciences and Technology, Social and Legal Sciences, Health Sciences and Education Sciences. It also offers more than 50 master courses and over 30 doctorate programs, specialist and postgraduate courses.
