  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): A minimum overall score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5.
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): A minimum score of 550 for the Paper-Based Test (PBT), 79 for the Internet-Based Test (IBT), or 213 for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • MUET (Malaysian University English Test): A minimum Band score of 4.
  • Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a score of at least 169.
  • Other recognized English language tests: Students can check with the admissions office for accepted alternative tests.

2. Postgraduate Programs

For postgraduate programs, the English language proficiency requirements are generally higher:

  • IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0.
  • TOEFL: A minimum score of 600 for the Paper-Based Test (PBT), 90 for the Internet-Based Test (IBT), or 250 for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • MUET: A minimum Band score of 5.
  • Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a score of at least 176.
  • Other recognized English language tests: As with undergraduate programs, alternative tests may be accepted; students should confirm with the admissions office.

3. Exemptions

Certain students may be exempt from these requirements if they meet specific criteria:

  • Students who have completed their secondary or higher education in English-medium institutions may not need to provide additional proof of English proficiency.
