About Ontario Tech University

Established in 2002, the Ontario Tech University is a non-profit public higher  education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Oshawa (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities of Ontario, Ontario Tech University (UOIT) is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 8,000-8,999 students) coeducational Canadian higher education institution. Ontario Tech University (UOIT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorate degrees in several areas of study. For admission to Ontario Tech University, international students are required to meet English language proficiency standards. Here are the general language requirements:

1. Accepted English Proficiency Tests and Scores

  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 83, with at least 20 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 20 in Speaking, and 20 in Writing.
