National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), based in Tainan, is a university with a pragmatic academic climate, solid research strengths and an internationalised learning environment. Their main campuses are well-connected, the main campus located in downtown Tainan and the Kuang-Fu campus near the Tainan Railway Station. The Shalun rail line links Taiwan High Speed Rail Tainan Station with downtown Tainan.
