Concordia is an English-language university in the heart of the world-class city of Montreal, Canada. It’s an approach that is rooted in Concordia’s founding in 1974, which brought together Loyola College (1896) and Sir George Williams University (1926).

Nearly 48,000 students are pursuing their educational and research goals at Concordia. The University is made up of four Faculties (Arts and Science, Fine Arts, the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science and the John Molson School of Business), a School of Graduate Studies and a Centre for Continuing Education.   2. Other Acceptable Credentials:

    • Completion of a secondary school program in English in an English-speaking country may also be accepted.
    • Students who have completed at least one year of full-time study in a degree program at a recognized institution where English is the primary language of instruction may be exempt from English language testing.

Graduate Programs

  1. English Proficiency Tests:

    • Graduate applicants must submit scores from one of the following tests:
      • TOEFL: Minimum score of 90 on the Internet-based test (iBT), with at least 20 in each section.
      • IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each section.
      • CAEL: Minimum overall score of 60, with at least 60 in each section.
      • PTE Academic: Minimum score of 60.

  2. Other Acceptable Credentials:

    • Similar to undergraduate programs, completion of a degree in an English-speaking institution may also satisfy language requirements.
